Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 - $1,940 Setting: Level III NICU Location: Charlottesville, Virginia 22908 Assignment Length: 13 weeks Start Date: October 12, 2026 Shift Duration: 12-hour nights Hours Per Week: 36 Type: Travel nursing assignment Orientation: 36 hours Weekend Coverage: Required Job Requirements Minimum of 2 years of NICU nursing experience required Full-time Level III NICU experience required; Level IV NICU experience is highly preferred Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; pending license accepted with required timing before start BLS and NRP required Dr. Brown’s Infant Driven Feeding Certificate required; may be completed if pending at submission Strong Epic charting experience required Experience with high-acuity neonatal care and complex respiratory support strongly preferred Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday coverage as scheduled BSN preferred Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to neonates and infants in a high-volume NICU Monitor and manage patients with complex diagnoses including prematurity, respiratory distress, sepsis, cardiac anomalies, and neurologic conditions Support advanced therapies such as high-frequency ventilation, conventional ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, iNO, and whole-body cooling Assist with admissions, IV placement, lab draws, wound and line care, ostomy care, and medication calculations Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, family-centered neonatal care Float within scope to related pediatric, postpartum, L&D, and PICU areas as needed Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit-specific clinical protocols in Epic Deliver calm, compassionate care in a fast-paced, high-acuity healthcare environment Location Highlights Charlottesville offers a scenic Central Virginia setting with mountain views and a welcoming community atmosphere Enjoy a lively mix of history, dining, arts, and outdoor recreation Convenient access to parks, trails, and the Blue Ridge region makes it a great place to enjoy time off Apply now to join this rewarding NICU RN travel job in Charlottesville, Virginia and take the next step in your healthcare career.
