This role involves evaluating and treating musculoskeletal, vascular, and neurological conditions with patient-specific therapies. You will provide education and preventative care to patients, their families, healthcare associates, and the broader community. Acting as a vital link between patients, families, physicians, nursing staff, and social services, you will ensure the seamless delivery and coordination of physical therapy services.Essential Responsibilities:Utilize clinical expertise and sound judgment to care for patients across all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric, tailoring treatment plans to individual diagnoses.Operate therapeutic equipment such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation units, mechanical traction devices, exercise machines, and wound care tools.Guide patients in the use of assistive devices, braces, orthotics, prosthetics, and orthopedic equipment.Assist patients with mobility, strengthening exercises, muscle reeducation, gait training, activities of daily living, and functional training.Adapt physiotherapeutic techniques for patients who may have difficulty understanding verbal instructions or performing exercises independently.Maintain thorough documentation of patient care in compliance with regulatory standards and departmental policies.Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives, including peer review and patient care evaluations.Exemplify excellent communication and customer service skills with patients, families, and colleagues.Collaborate effectively across departments to support patient care and organizational goals.Supervise aides, students, and volunteers as needed.Support departmental functions and contribute to staff education on a rotating basis.Commit to ongoing professional development relevant to clinical practice and patient diagnoses.Education and Experience:Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association or equivalent accrediting bodies. A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree is required. Continuing education relevant to clinical practice and professional responsibilities is expected.Licensure and Certifications:Must hold or be eligible for licensure in the applicable state.Current CPR certification is required.Full-time, first shift, 40 hours per week. This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
