Job Summary:
ODS is seeking a Logistics–Fleet/Property Specialist to support FPS Region 11 fleet operations, accountable property, equipment inventories, and field logistics. The position maintains accurate asset records, supports vehicle readiness, and provides equipment and user setup assistance throughout the NCR.
Location: Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Headquarters, 6595 Springfield Center Drive, Springfield, VA 22150
Salary: $43.42 hourly + H&W $5.42
Responsibilities/Duties:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in logistics, fleet management, property/asset management, inventory control, supply operations, or a related field.
• Relevant federal government or government contracting experience preferred.
• Assess fleet and property issues and complete assigned actions within Headquarters deadlines; help maintain the appropriate number, size, and type of regional vehicles.
• Review vehicle modification requests for submission to regional fleet management/operations for approval; prepare home-to-work mileage, accident, acquisition, transfer, and short-term rental reports.
• Support annual physical property inventories, validate assets and transfers, and process and review lost or stolen asset records.
• Receive, ship, transport, barcode, audit, excess, and transfer Government equipment; provide continuing logistics support to field operations and track incoming and outgoing packages.
• Maintain daily SAMS inventory records, including IT equipment, and run baseline inventory reports; respond to ad hoc logistics tasks and reporting requests.
• Prepare maintenance and monthly mileage reports and vehicle checklists; monitor plates, emissions testing, and safety inspection status.
• Support compliant disposal of specialized vehicle equipment, including radios, sirens, and laptops; review GSA-leased and agency-owned vehicle inventory weekly and track law enforcement vehicle equipment.
• Configure iPhones; move and install standalone printers; support conference room Smartboards and new-user LAN and WMS account requests.
• Operate Government vehicles only when authorized. Law enforcement vehicle driving is limited to maintenance trips with “Not in Service” signs displayed and specified parking-lot relocation at 1201 M Street.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of FPS fleet and property management systems is essential; ability to maintain SAMS asset records and accurate inventory reports.
• Ability to apply fleet and asset management regulations, policies, and procedures and support shipping, receiving, vehicle readiness, and equipment accountability.
• Ability to provide the equipment configuration and user setup support described above.
• A valid driver’s license is required for personnel operating Government motor vehicles.
• Communicate effectively orally and in writing; interpret and follow policies, regulations, and directives. Use Microsoft Office, including Excel macros, pivot tables, charts, graphs, and simple and complex formulas; support databases and SharePoint as assigned.
• Ability to satisfy DHS suitability and background investigation requirements under HSPD-12 and obtain the required favorable Entry on Duty or fitness determination for unescorted access. U.S. citizenship is normally required for DHS systems access unless DHS approves an exception.
• Protect sensitive information and possess the knowledge and skills to meet applicable Section 508 accessibility requirements for assigned deliverables.

Education/Certifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
• Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of post-secondary education.
• 3 years of relevant professional experience in logistics, fleet management, property/asset management, inventory control, supply operations, or a related field.
• Federal Government or Government contractor experience preferred.
