Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Job Description

The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for disassembling incoming cylinders from mining equipment, inspecting all parts to identify necessary repairs, and rebuilding cylinders using various hand, power, and pneumatic tools. The role requires daily use of basic blueprints and schematics, testing and troubleshooting finished products to ensure proper functionality, and entering data of daily activities into the company database. The position involves lifting up to 70 pounds at times.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble incoming cylinders from mining equipment.
• Inspect all disassembled parts to determine repair needs.
• Rebuild cylinders using hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
• Utilize basic blueprints and schematics regularly.
• Test and troubleshoot finished products to ensure correct operation.
• Enter data of daily activities into company database.
• Lift up to 70 pounds as needed.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical experience and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to perform assembly tasks.
• Proficiency in reading and utilizing blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with mechanical testing and troubleshooting.
• Repair and service skills.
• Ability to use hand tools and work with pneumatics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 6 months of mechanical experience is required.
• Must bring own mechanic tools.

Work Environment

The role operates in a production-based environment with a work schedule of 6am to 2:30pm. Optional overtime is available after the shift. The attire is jeans and a t-shirt, with steel-toed shoes required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gillette, WY.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Gillette,WY.
