Automotive Service Technician

Experienced Ford Service Technicians WantedThe Mills Automotive Group is expanding in the Harvey / New Orleans area. We are looking for experienced Ford Service Technicians at our Ford of Harvey location to join our growing service department. Our starting pay rate for all skilled line technicians is $25.00 per hour, but certified Ford technicians can earn significantly more, possibly beyond the $40 per hour mark. All positions offer great incentives above the base rate, starting from day one.What You Do:Conduct repairs, maintenance, and inspections on FMC vehiclesLine mechanic with all-around experienceChassis, brakes, suspension, electrical, and engine repairInspect vehicles for repairs and service needs using multi-point inspections and test toolsDocument and report on items completed and in need of further service via repair order and dealer computer system (electronic repair order experience a plus)Complete and attend manufacturer training as requiredSuccessful Attributes and Skills:Own your toolsValid driver’s license, must pass background and substance abuse reviewExcellent communication skills and ability to be a team playerOutgoing and friendly personalityProfessional and well-kept appearanceTechnical certification and training a plusState inspection license preferredCompensation and Benefits:This is a flat rate position and the rate will be determined by your skills, experience, and performanceMedical, dental, and vision plansPaid vacationPaid trainingVehicle purchase discountsDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insurance
