Back Vendor Management Specialist Procurement Director Brunswick , Maine Temp Per Hour Aug 11, 2026 $25.00 - $30.00 Vendor Management Specialist Our client is seeking a Temporary Vendor Management Specialist to provide support to the leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for a polished, resourceful professional who is comfortable taking ownership, working independently, and learning new systems quickly. The ideal candidate will have experience with vendor management, database administration, invoicing, purchasing, or other administrative/operations functions and will be confident communicating with internal stakeholders and external vendors. Key Responsibilities Support vendor management and procurement-related activities, with a particular focus on travel coordination and Concur Work directly with Concur representatives to learn the platform, troubleshoot questions, and help establish effective processes Take initiative to become proficient in Concur through vendor demonstrations, online training, and available Help Center resources Assist with vendor setup, maintenance, documentation, and ongoing communications Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to ensure information is accurate and up to date Assist with invoicing, purchasing documentation, and related administrative processes Maintain accurate records and databases related to vendors and procurement activities Provide day-to-day administrative support to the CFO as needed Identify opportunities to improve processes and help bring structure to vendor management activities Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion Qualifications Previous experience in vendor management, procurement, purchasing, invoicing, database administration, or a related administrative/operations function Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to work directly with external vendors and software providers Self-starter mentality with the ability to learn new systems independently Comfortable reaching out to vendors and taking ownership of questions or issues through resolution Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Professional, polished presence and excellent written and verbal communication Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently Concur experience is a plus, but not required — the successful candidate must be comfortable learning the system through demos, training resources, and direct interaction with Concur Position Details Temporary position supporting leadership Pay: $25–$30/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday Location: Onsite for the first two weeks; potential to transition to a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite / 2 days remote This is a great opportunity for someone who is confident, resourceful, highly organized, and eager to jump in and make an immediate impact in a professional higher education environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
