About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS ACLS NIHSS Must-Have: First-time travelers allowed as long as experience requirements are met Weekend shifts required based on unit needs Floating required within scope to meet facility needs Description: Registered Nurse position in a newly established Progressive Care Unit. Nursing staff will care for patients recovering from acute conditions. Duties include managing critically ill patients with complex health issues. The unit cares for patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, cardiac issues, and post-surgical patients. Nursing staff will utilize Epic for charting. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:3. Special procedures include bedside TEE, cardioversion, and moderate sedation. Nurses will provide care in a supportive environment with interdisciplinary team collaboration. Candidates must possess the ability to perform various nursing skills effectively.
