While the majority of your work will be conducted remotely, our outpatient office in Sacramento will serve as a collaborative hub for in-person meetings, case consultations, and team-based activities. Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine clients' mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans.

  • Provide evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy using a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and more.
  • \n
  • Facilitate collaboration with case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care that addresses clients’ physical and mental health needs.

  • Deliver crisis intervention services to support clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies, ensuring immediate support and stabilization.
  • \n
  • Engage with the community through outreach programs and educational workshops, promoting mental health awareness and destigmatizing mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our center serves a rich tapestry of clients, including individuals from various cultural, socioeconomic, and age backgrounds. As a mental health counselor, you will have the opportunity to provide care to a diverse population, addressing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and relational concerns. Cultural competency and sensitivity to individual client needs are paramount to fostering effective therapeutic relationships.

Qualifications\n

  • Must possess a valid and current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

  • Hold a Master’s degree or Doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.

  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills with an emphasis on empathy and interpersonal relationship building.

  • Proficient in time-management and organizational skills necessary for maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment plans.

  • Experience working in a community mental health setting, particularly with diverse populations.

  • Demonstrated competency in implementing various therapeutic modalities and crisis intervention techniques.
