PCA - Personal Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PCA (Personal Care Assistant) to join our team in Graceville, FL. As a PCA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and services to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with personal care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Provide continence care, including incontinence products and hygiene
• Help residents with mobility and ambulation, including transfers and walks
• Assist with feeding and hydration, including tube feeding and nasogastric tube management
• Support residents with medication management, including administration and documentation
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control measures
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
• Document resident care and progress in electronic medical records

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in healthcare or geriatric care setting preferred
• Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents with assistance as needed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends
