Assistant Community Manager

Property management offices that run well don't do so by accident. Behind every smooth renewal season and every delinquency number that stays in check, there's usually a strong assistant manager holding the administrative and relational side of the operation together. That's the role Hawthorne Residential Partners is filling at Station Savannah Quarters in Pooler, GA. Hawthorne sits in the top 50 largest multifamily management companies in the country, with a footprint concentrated in the Southeast. This position supports a functioning community, so you're walking into existing operations rather than a lease-up. The work is steady, recurring, and consequential. The Day-to-Day The job splits across three areas: leasing, financials, and team coverage. On the leasing side, you'll conduct tours, convert leads, process applications, and push renewals to protect occupancy. You'll also manage the community's social media presence, which at most properties means keeping it current and authentic rather than running a full content operation. The financial piece is real work. You're posting payments, scanning checks, monitoring delinquency, making follow-up calls weekly, and coordinating with the Community Manager when accounts escalates toward eviction. Ledger accuracy falls to you. If a resident's account doesn't balance, you need to find out why and fix it. Regional leadership relies on clean reporting, and that starts here. When the Community Manager is out, you run the office. That means prioritizing the team's daily work, handling resident concerns without backup, and keeping the operation moving. It won't be every week, but it will happen, and you need to be ready for it without treating it as a surprise. The office is open Monday through Friday, 9 to 6, and Saturdays from 10 to 4. You'll work one weekday off to stay at 40 hours. Resident events and community needs can pull you outside those hours occasionally, which is worth knowing before you apply.
