Press Operator

Responsibilities A Press Line Operator is responsible for performing and maintaining the daily activities associated with a production line. This includes housekeeping, safety, quality, maintaining production efficiencies, repair and maintenance, and minimizing downtime. The position requires flexibility to work 40+ hours per week, varying shifts, and weekends as required. The operator reports directly to the shift Production Supervisor. Meet ADS and ASSHTO quality specifications for all products produced. Comfortable with heavy machinery, intricate band saws, and hand tools. Use hand tools and saws to scale product for proper fittings. Operate various production lines and processes effectively; earn certifications. Meet or exceed standard production efficiencies on all lines. Complete shift production and reporting paperwork. Build job skills through company training programs and practice ADS Core Values. Physically able to lift 75 lbs and operate heavy machinery. Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain a safe working record. Immediately communicate unsafe conditions or injuries to the Production Supervisor. Assist with the Preventative Maintenance program as required. Maintain facility housekeeping. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous manufacturing machine operation or extrusion experience preferred. Mechanical troubleshooting and repair ability. Proficient with hand tools and heavy machinery (band saws). Analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication, reading, and writing skills. High school diploma or equivalent required. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move heavy items up to 75 lbs and 6 ft in height. Full range of body motion including twisting, bending, reaching, squatting, and ability to mount/dismount industrial equipment and vehicles. Daily handling of machinery and hand tools requiring use of hands, arms, and legs. Perform physical labor for extended periods, including bending, kneeling, and standing. Work in extreme weather and temperature conditions. Work various shifts, minimum of 12 continuous hours. Pass drug test and background check. Equipment / Tools Hand tools and band saws.
