Machine Shop Assistant – Mechanical / Industrial Role

Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring a Machine Shop Assistant for a growing manufacturing company in Dayton. This is a great opportunity for individuals with mechanical aptitude, manufacturing experience, or industrial labor backgrounds looking to grow their skills in a machine shop environment.
What You’ll Be Doing• Support machine operators with daily machining operations
• Load and unload raw materials, metal components, and finished parts
• Assist with preparing parts for machining and operating machines
• Load and unload incoming deliveries and outbound freight
• Keep machines stocked with materials and maintain workflow
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Previous manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial labor experience preferred
• Operated a sit down forklift
• Mechanically inclined and eager to learn machining processes
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
