Job Overview A civil litigation defense law firm is seeking attorneys to join its Easton, Maryland, office. The role focuses on handling workers' compensation and liability insurance defense matters in a litigation-focused environment. This position involves managing cases with significant responsibility for client communication, litigation strategy, and meeting billable-hour expectations. Duties Handle workers' compensation and liability insurance defense matters Manage litigation files and oversee cases through various stages of the legal process Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related documents Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders Participate in hearings, depositions, and other litigation proceedings Maintain accurate billing records and meet billable hour requirements Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies and ensure effective representation Requirements 1 to 3 years of legal experience in civil litigation Experience in workers' compensation or liability defense matters preferred Experience in maintaining and recording billable hours Ability to manage litigation responsibilities and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues Education and Certifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Active membership in the Maryland State Bar Admission to the District of Columbia Bar is considered beneficial Skills Strong litigation and case management abilities Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced litigation environment Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to collaborate with legal teams while managing individual responsibilities Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance coverage Retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions Flexible spending account and health savings account options Life insurance coverage Paid time off and parental leave #J-18808-Ljbffr
