Machining Manufacturing ManagerThe Machining Manufacturing Manager will lead day-to-day shop operations—overseeing CNC, manual machining and Coils, managing schedules, ensuring safety, quality, and mentoring machinists. Through strategic day to day actions, implement efficiency improvements, liaise with engineering, quoting, quality, maintenance, and report to senior leadership.Essential Job FunctionsProduction Planning & Scheduling:Develop and maintain daily/weekly production schedulesCollaborate with internal stakeholders & planning to hit delivery targetsTeam leadership and Development:Supervise and Mentor machinist personnelConduct performance reviews and manage corrective actionsHire, onboard and train staffMachining Oversight:Supervise machining shift leads, CNC programmers, machinist, operatorsDevelop and execute strategic plans for process improvements and implementationProvide strategic data to day guidance to the machining department aimed at attaining KPI'sWork with senior management to develop KPI's for the departmentEquipment & Inventory Management:Coordinate maintenance and ensure uptimeOversee tooling, materials purchasing, and tool crib controlsContinuous Improvement & Reporting:Implement lean initiatives to optimize workflowTrack KPIs (efficiency, scrap, downtime) and share metrics with managementCustomer & Cross-Functional Coordination:Support RFQs, labor estimates, and part quotingAddress technical queries and update clients on progressGeneral:Review of all procedures related to your job per "HR LG 01 Training Matrix"Completion within time stated of all training required by Job Description in "HR LG 01 Training Matrix"Perform other duties as assigned.Regular and punctual attendance.Follow all Company policies and procedures.Note: This is not an inclusive list of duties and responsibilitiesSkill RequirementsCommitment to a safety culture where safety is the first consideration before starting any task.Proficient in CNC mill and lathe operationsProficient with selection and use of inspection equipment and techniques.Proficient with interpretation of drawings and specifications.Understands basics of office computer softwareFamiliar with use of ERP System(s)Qualifications5 years minimum experience in machining operations supervisory or management roleAssociate's or bachelor's in manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred — or equivalent shop experienceMust be a team player and willing to complete professional development goalsWork EnvironmentThe performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other mandatory safety equipment.For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.Physical DemandsSit or stand as needed.Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday.Proper lifting techniques required.Ability and comfortability to work in small confine spaces while following proper safety protocol.Ability to accomplish the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.Safety and Policy PracticesEach employee must be knowledgeable of standard safety policies and procedures and adhere to the same while supporting the goals and objectives of the organization and recognizing the Company's need to achieve its business objectives.
