Position SummaryUnder general supervision of the Youth and Learning Director or designee, the Out-of-School Time (OST) Program Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating high-quality out-of-school time programs that support the academic success, cultural identity, wellness, and leadership development of Santa Clara Pueblo youth ages 3–18. While youth development is the primary focus of the position, the OST Program Manager will also work to integrate family, intergenerational, and community engagement into programming to strengthen youth learning, cultural identity, and community connectedness.This job description is illustrative only of the responsibilities performed by this position and is not an all-inclusive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel in this classification. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Essential Duties and Responsibilities•Plan, develop, and implement youth-centered OST programs including afterschool, summer, weekend, and intersession activities.•Coordinate academic enrichment programs such as tutoring, homework support, literacy development, STEM enrichment, and study skills.•Develop programming that supports Native language learning, cultural identity, and connection to Santa Clara Pueblo traditions.•Implement youth leadership, mentoring, service learning, and career exploration opportunities.•Promote youth wellness through activities that support social-emotional development, healthy lifestyles, and positive peer relationships.•Oversee daily operations of OST programs including scheduling, staffing coordination, participant supervision, transportation, and facility usage.•Maintain program enrollment, attendance, and participation records, as well as periodic reports.•Monitor program quality and evaluate program effectiveness to ensure outcomes are being met.•Safely drive 15-passenger vans and GSA vehicles to support transportation for program activities.•Incorporate family and intergenerational participation into youth programming to strengthen cultural learning and community relationships.•Coordinate events that engage families, elders, and community members including but not limited to cultural nights, youth show cases, and community learning activities.•Encourage youth participation in community service, cultural events, and tribal initiatives.•Recruit, supervise, and evaluate OST/Recreation program staff, tutors, youth mentors, contractors and volunteers.•Provide training and guidance in youth development practices, program safety, and culturally responsive programming.•Facilitate regular staff meetings to review youth progress, program activities, and operational needs.•Collaborate with local schools, tribal departments, and community partners to strengthen youth programming and align academic support.•Promote OST programming through outreach to families and community members.•Coordinate with cultural leaders and elders to support culturally grounded programming for youth.•Schedule, manage and teach physical education/cultural movement classes.•Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or Deputy Director.•Promote and model a positive youth development approach in all interactions with youth and families.•Research and pursue resources that support program growth and sustainability.Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.•Contributes to team effort.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities•Knowledge of positive youth development practices and youth engagement strategies.•Ability to design culturally grounded youth programming that reflects Pueblo values and traditions.•Strong organizational and program management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.•Ability to effectively supervise youth and lead structured activities in classroom, recreational, and community environments.•Ability to communicate effectively with youth, families, staff, Tribal leadership, and community partners.•Understanding of departmental budgeting and purchasing processes as well as program accountability.•Current First Aid and CPR certifications, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.•Ability to work in a Mac (Apple) based work environment.Minimum Qualifications•Bachelor's Degree in Education, Youth Development, Recreation, Social Work, Public Administration, or related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute for education.•Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with youth programs, afterschool programs, education, or youth development initiatives.•Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory or program coordination experience preferred.•Experience working with Native American communities strongly preferred.•Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours during program periods.•Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
