Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join a high-volume, fast-paced Emergency Department in Mullica Hill, New Jersey.

The Emergency Department is a 64-bed unit with 75 total bays , including hallway utilization, patient holds, and pediatric care. The department averages approximately 150–190 patient visits per day .

The ideal candidate must be comfortable and proficient in caring for:

• Critically ill patients
• Behavioral health patients
• Hold patients
• Observation patients
• Acute inpatient admissions
• Pediatric patients

Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced Emergency Department is strongly preferred.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) RN experience required
• BSN required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Candidate must have successfully completed at least one travel contract assignment
• High-volume and fast-paced ED experience preferred

Licensure & Certifications

• Active New Jersey RN License or Compact RN License
• AHA BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• NIHSS

Important: Pending certifications are not accepted. Certifications that expire within 30 days of submission are also not accepted.

Schedule & Staffing

• Patient Ratio: 4:1 to 5:1
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or approximately 2 weekends per month, depending on department needs
• Holiday Requirement: None
• RTO (Requested Time Off): No more than 3 days accepted
• Block Scheduling: Not available
• Special Scheduling Requests: Not accepted
• RTO Policy: No more than 1 week preferred/accepted based on facility requirements

Orientation & First-Day Information

Full orientation attendance is mandatory. Failure to complete the entire orientation process may result in immediate termination. Once scheduled, candidates cannot reschedule orientation classes .

Monday – Virtual Orientation

The candidate will receive an email directly from Inspira on the Friday before their Monday start date.

The email will include instructions for:

• Joining the Virtual Welcome Meeting
• Accessing the online HealthStream modules
• Completing required onboarding activities

The candidate will receive instructions from Human Resources before 8:30 AM on Monday .

Important: All assigned HealthStream modules must be completed by Monday. Failure to complete the required modules may result in removal from the orientation schedule.

In-Person Classes

In-person orientation classes are typically held Tuesday through Thursday and may take place at multiple locations.

The class location may not be listed in the initial orientation email. Candidates are responsible for checking HealthStream to confirm the location for each scheduled class.

Important: The POCT (Point-of-Care Testing) class is mandatory but is not held during the regular orientation week. Candidates must attend the POCT class as scheduled.

Unit-Based Orientation

After the general orientation, the candidate will receive their unit-based orientation schedule directly from the hiring manager .

Employee Badge

Candidates will receive instructions for scheduling an appointment to obtain their employee ID badge.

• Badge must be obtained in person
• Photo submissions are not permitted
• Badge appointment must be completed during the orientation period
• The employee badge is required for clocking in and out
