Role Description Radiology Workflow Support Specialist (Remote) Location: Remote Employment Type: Three (3) Full-Time, Salaried Positions Two (2) Part-Time (.6 FTE), Hourly Positions Shift Coverage: Variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed Role Overview The Radiology Workflow Support Specialist (RWSS) is a critical frontline support role responsible for maintaining uninterrupted radiologist workflows and ensuring timely, high-quality patient care. Acting as the first point of contact for operational and workflow-related issues, the RWSS supports radiologists in real time, resolves common workflow disruptions, and coordinates escalations with IT, PACS, and vendor support teams when needed. This role is operational and workflow-focused, not a system build, PACS administration, or engineering position. Full-Time Salaried Positions (3 openings) Annual salary range: $50,000 – $70,000, based on experience and qualifications Eligible for full Konfidi Health benefits, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and holidays Part-Time Hourly Positions (.6 FTE, 2 openings) Hourly compensation commensurate with experience Benefits eligibility aligned to Konfidi Health part-time policies Key Responsibilities Radiologist & Clinical Workflow Support Serve as the primary operational contact for radiologists during assigned coverage hours Respond promptly to real-time requests related to: Study access and availability Worklist issues Hanging protocol or viewer display concerns Workflow interruptions impacting reading efficiency Provide calm, efficient support in high-acuity and time-sensitive clinical situations Support call-center style workflows, including call handling, prioritization, and tracking Assist with study routing, reassignment, and verification of correct destinations Confirm study completeness, image availability, and report visibility Monitor radiologist worklists for stuck, duplicated, delayed, or misrouted exams Identify workflow issues before they escalat* to clinical delays Basic Technical Troubleshooting (Level 1) Perform initial triage of PACS, RIS, dictation, reporting, and viewer-related issues Validate user access, missing images, performance concerns, and dictation problems Distinguish operational issues from system-level problems requiring escalation Escalate unresolved issues to PACS administrators, IT teams, or vendors with complete and accurate documentation Remain engaged through resolution, ensuring follow-through and communication back to the radiologist Act as a liaison between clinical users and technical support teams Communication & Documentation Document all interactions, actions taken, and outcomes in the designated ticketing system Provide proactive status updates to radiologists and stakeholders Maintain clear, professional communication under pressure Out of Scope System configuration, build, or administrative changes Clinical interpretation or medical decision-making Vendor engineering or software development functions Required Skills & Qualifications Strong understanding of radiology workflows and terminology Working knowledge of PACS, RIS, and radiology reporting/dictation systems Ability to prioritize tasks based on clinical urgency and patient impact Excellent verbal and written communication skills High attention to detail, professionalism, and reliability Comfort working in a fast-paced, remote support environment Preferred Background Radiology operations, imaging informatics support, or clinical IT support experience Prior experience supporting radiologists in a production reading environment Experience with ticketing systems and call-center style workflows Performance & Success Metrics Radiologist satisfaction and feedback scores Reduction in workflow interruptions and reading delays Quality and completeness of documentation Why This Role Matters Radiologists depend on uninterrupted workflows to deliver timely, accurate patient care. The Radiology Assistant plays a vital role in protecting reading efficiency, minimizing disruptions, and ensuring that technical and operational issues are addressed quickly and professionally—so clinicians can stay focused on patients. This is a full-time, on-site role for a Radiology Assistant located in Indianapolis, IN. The Radiology Workflow Support Specialist will support radiology operations, assist in medical imaging procedures, ensure compliance with imaging protocols, and provide excellent customer service to patients and staff. Responsibilities include maintaining patient records, communicating with patients and healthcare professionals, providing timely assistance with equipment and imaging tasks, and adhering to safety standards in a clinical environment.
