Nurse Practitioner-Hematology/Oncology

Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center is recruiting Nurse Practitioners to provide inpatient coverage in the Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy division at the Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center, Gilbert, AZ. Responsibilities Perform bone marrow biopsies/aspirations, lumbar punctures with intrathecal chemotherapy, ommaya taps, and skin punch biopsies (training provided; prior procedure experience not required). Admit, discharge, and document daily progress notes for patients with acute leukemia, stem cell transplant, and cellular therapy. Provide patient and family education regarding chemotherapy and its side effects. Manage high‑acuity patients in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including supervising physicians. Manage chemotherapy and cellular therapy side effects, with an additional focus on infectious disease. Participate in research and educational growth opportunities as desired. Inpatient, days only: 12‑hour shifts (7 am–7 pm) on a rotating schedule that includes weekends and rotating holidays. Qualifications Board certified Nurse Practitioner. Ability to provide compassionate, evidence‑based, multidisciplinary care to cancer patients. Active participation in clinical, research, and education services of the Division.
