Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans based on their needs, goals, and physician directions. This role also includes responsibility for delegating and directing therapy services provided to assigned patients. The therapist will ensure the design of functional treatment programs to facilitate effective returns to community activities, serve as an educator for patients and families, and maintain compliance with professional standards and organizational guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document all care provided in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner.
• Provide care under signed and valid physician orders, adhering to insurance approvals.
• Participate in the student program, offering supervision and evaluations.
• Work on professional development plans and pursue continuing education.
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Engage in performance improvement practices and organizational initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an Accredited School.
• 1+ years of outpatient clinical experience preferred.
• Active CPR certification.
• Must hold a valid Physical Therapist license for the state where work will be performed.
• Prior experience in orthopedics is required.
