Dirck's moving and Logistics is seeking a Billing And Rating Analyst, this position services a critical role in our Accounting Department by rating local and interstate shipments to ensure thorough and accurate billing. The performance of this function involves interaction with Operations, Customer Service, and external customers while reviewing bills of lading, weight tickets, estimates, addendum and inventories for compliance to ensure prompt payment.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Accesses files in CRM such as bills of lading, weight tickets, addendum, estimates and inventories.
- Verifies incoming and outgoing shipments in storage.
- Sets up storage accounts including insurance, valuation, invoicing, and billing.
- Billing includes office and industrial, local, intrastate, 3rd party, and other types of services.
- Auditing and verification of 3rd party invoices
- Calculates and enters revenue in accounting systems.
- Creates and audits invoices for accuracy.
- Creates credit memorandums when necessary for incorrect billing.
- Post transactions in accounting systems to appropriate job/customer accounts.
- Participates in payroll processing.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or GED or equivalent; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic knowledge of administrative duties.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization in English.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Great Planes, and Movers Suite.
