Make a meaningful impact in a collaborative and student-centered educational environment dedicated to supporting middle school students. This full-time leave coverage opportunity offers the chance to serve as a key member of the Child Study Team, working with approximately 40 students in grades 6-8 to support their academic, social, and emotional development.

Assignment Details:

- Location: Bridgewater, NJ (serving surrounding areas)
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM
- Duration: September 1, 2026 - December 23, 2026
- Caseload: Approximately 40 students
- Grade Levels: 6th-8th
- Role: Member of the Child Study Team

Key Qualifications:

- Valid New Jersey certification as a School Psychologist (required)
- Previous experience working in a school setting, preferably with middle school students
- Strong knowledge of Child Study Team processes and special education regulations
- Experience conducting psychological evaluations and interpreting assessment data
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

- Serve as an active member of the Child Study Team, supporting student evaluations and services
- Conduct initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and psychological assessments in compliance with NJ state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement IEPs and intervention plans
- Provide counseling and crisis support services as needed
- Support students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs to enhance academic success
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and state policies
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development opportunities
