About The Role We are seeking a talented and innovative Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the future of our e-commerce platform through the integration of cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions that enhance our online shopping experience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design customer-centric services, orchestrate AI-powered workflows, and ensure the robustness of our systems from conception to deployment and ongoing operation. Qualifications Completed degree in computer science or a comparable qualification. At least five years of professional experience in full-stack software development, preferably within e-commerce or high-traffic environments. Technical expertise in Java, Kotlin, and TypeScript, along with familiarity with frameworks such as Spring Boot, REST APIs, and relational as well as NoSQL databases. Experience in designing software solutions and leading project teams is highly valued. A keen interest in AI-driven software development and the ability to orchestrate AI agents effectively. Strong communication skills in both German and English, an agile mindset, a passion for teamwork, and a commitment to quality. Additional experience with modern frontend frameworks like React, microservice architectures, event-driven applications, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), DevOps, containerization, and cloud technologies is desirable. Responsibilities Collaboratively develop our e-commerce platform within a high-performing software engineering team, overseeing architecture, interface design, and operational deployment. Orchestrate AI-supported development workflows by managing AI agents, assigning tasks precisely, and integrating solutions into the production environment. Ensure the quality, security, and architectural integrity of AI-generated code, including conducting code reviews, maintaining test coverage, and optimizing system performance. Promote AI initiatives, establishing new AI-assisted workflows as standard practices within the team. Design and implement customer-oriented services and interfaces, participating in all project phases from conception and development through testing, delivery, and ongoing operation. Contribute to continuous innovation and process improvement, ensuring our platform remains at the forefront of technology in the retail sector.
