Substitute CustodianWe are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Substitute Custodian at the Gooding District Office. This a substitute position that is essential for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality service, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.Responsibilities:Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks in various areas of the school district, including classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly.Monitor and replenish supplies as needed, including soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials.Assist with set-up and breakdown for events and meetings, including moving furniture and arranging spaces as required.Respond promptly to cleaning and maintenance requests from staff and administration.Maintain a safe and sanitary environment by following established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines.Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.Collaborate with other custodial staff to ensure the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the facility.Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus but not required.Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety practices.Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with custodial work.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Good communication skills and a positive attitude.Must pass background checks as required by district policy.
