Process Engineering Intern

Support the plant on day-to-day projects related to process improvement, tooling, and equipment evaluation. Assist in collecting and analyzing production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities. Participate in 5S and lean manufacturing initiatives on the production floor. Help develop and document standardized work instructions and process flows. Assist with Capital Expenditure project tracking, including scheduling, data gathering, and reporting. Apply CAD software skills to assist with design modifications or tooling layouts. Prepare presentations and reports summarizing project findings and recommendations. Who We're Looking For Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, or a related field. (Virginia Tech students are encouraged to apply!) Completed at least one year of coursework in an engineering program preferred. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 required. Basic knowledge of engineering principles and manufacturing concepts. Proficiency or coursework experience with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing, walking production areas, and wearing required PPE.
