Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shift (Days & Nights) | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit, with potential to float to other units serving the same patient population
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond appropriately to cardiac changes
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Participate in rotating day and night shifts, including working at least every other holiday as required
• Complete orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate, achieving an acceptable score within the allowed attempts
• Complete annual hands-on competency requirements as directed by the facility for nurses on continuous or returning contracts

Required Qualifications

• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or Compact state license in hand at time of submission — no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active ACLS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active NIHSS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months, is required for submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Permanent specialty experience obtained within a single location preferred, though combined experience will be considered
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Experience working in a large, high-volume acute care hospital environment
