RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Med Surg Stroke Stepdown unit specializing in stroke patients
• Floating to other units required
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Work with 64-bed unit serving adult patient population
• Common diagnoses include stroke, altered mental status, renal, dialysis, COPD, CHF, isolation, general med surg, pneumonia, and pulmonary issues
• Work with specialty equipment including IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes
• 2+ years of Med Surg experience with stroke stepdown experience required
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: Current AHA BLS, NIHSS (NIH certification required for this unit)
• Active NY nursing license required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Block scheduling availability but never promised or guaranteed
