Sterilization Technician

Profession: Surgical Services Start Date: ASAP Contract: 13 Weeks Shift: Sunday-Thursday, 10:45 PM-7:15 AM/ Monday-Friday, 2:45 PM-11:15 PM Perform decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of reusable surgical instruments and equipment. Reprocess reusable surgical equipment, instrumentation, and scopes according to manufacturer guidelines. Maintain inventory and storage of processed sterile supplies. Support the surgical team and sterile core. Work under the supervision of Central Service Team Leaders and the Central Service Supervisor. Collaborate with the operating room team to support surgical and procedural areas. Minimum 1 year of instrumentation experience Basic computer knowledge Good interpersonal and communication skills Ability to establish effective working relationships Ability to give and receive constructive feedback High school diploma or GED CRCST or CBSPD certification required by manager Preferred: 1 year of instrumentation experience in a hospital setting Successful completion of a Central Service vocational program Central Service Technician certification is required within one year of hire.
