We are hiring a Data Analyst to support the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY&IMF) Occupational Safety and Health Office. In this role, you will analyze Occupational Safety and Health data to identify trends, emerging risks, reporting gaps, and data-quality issues. You will develop dashboards, charts, written summaries, and leadership briefings that support safety decisions.ResponsibilitiesSafety Data Validation & AnalysisVerify data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before conducting analysisIdentify missing, inconsistent, or unusual data and coordinate resolution of discrepanciesAnalyze OSH data from RMI, SharePoint, local logs, and other databasesIdentify trends in injuries, hazards, near-misses, reporting behavior, and safety performanceIdentify leading indicators and emerging risks within Occupational Safety and Health dataCompare data across departments, time periods, and other groups to support benchmarkingIdentify gaps in reporting, hazard recognition, or data qualityDashboards, Reporting & Leadership SupportDevelop dashboards, charts, written summaries, and analytical narrativesTranslate complex data into clear, decision-ready informationPrepare structured briefings for program managers and senior leadersHighlight trends, emerging risks, data limitations, and recommended actionsPrepare monthly trend analyses and historical performance comparisonsPresent monthly In Progress Reviews and provide Personnel Support ReportsProcess Improvement & Data QualityIdentify inefficiencies in data collection, reporting, analysis, and workflowsRecommend improvements to reporting systems, metrics, and data processesMaintain documentation of analytical methods, processes, and guidesTroubleshoot data-entry problems using existing instructions and guidanceEscalate complex data discrepancies or system anomalies to appropriate Government personnelSupport unplanned or emergent data-processing requirements as neededCommunication & Customer SupportCommunicate analytical findings clearly in visual, verbal, and written formatsCoordinate with appropriate contacts to resolve data-quality issuesProvide responsive customer service and analytical supportOrganize and maintain physical and digital files related to assigned workRequired BackgroundStrong analytical and critical-thinking skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and pivot tablesExperience interpreting large datasets and communicating findings clearlyExperience with statistical analysis, trend analysis, or performance-data evaluationAbility to translate analytical findings into practical recommendationsStrong written and oral communication skillsProblem-solving, concentration/memory, and prioritization skillsExperience using Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to type at least 35 words per minutePreferred BackgroundPower BI experienceKnowledge of Occupational Safety and Health dataExperience analyzing injury and illness data, hazard-reporting trends, or safety-performance metricsBachelor's degree in a field such as occupational healthSecurity / AccessU.S. citizenship is requiredMust be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and required Shipyard access badgeMust meet required background and clearance requirements before starting workMust follow requirements for handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)Must follow PHNSY&IMF security and access rulesPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit or stand at a computer workstation for most of the workdayAbility to speak clearly, hear, stand, reach, bend, crouch, push, pull, and perform frequent repetitive motionsAbility to lift or carry up to 15 pounds as required****************** KMRG, LLC is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action (EEO/AA) employer.
