Non-CDL Box Truck Driver (26-Foot Truck)

Location: Hillside, NJ
Pay Rate: $22.00
Schedule: Full-Time | Early Morning & Day Shift Availability

A well-established food distribution company in Hillside, NJ is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Non-CDL Box Truck Driver to operate a 26-foot box truck for local and regional deliveries. This role requires someone with strong driving experience, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to assist with loading and unloading deliveries when needed.

The ideal candidate is dependable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced delivery environment.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a 26-foot box truck for scheduled delivery routes
Deliver products to customers in a timely and professional manner
Load and unload products at delivery locations
Verify delivery paperwork, invoices, and order accuracy
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the truck
Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures
Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and route updates
Ensure products are transported safely and securely
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries

Qualifications

Previous experience driving a 26-foot box truck required
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
DOT Medical Card preferred or ability to obtain one
Experience with local delivery routes and warehouse environments
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
Strong attendance and punctuality
Good communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules

Preferred Experience

Food distribution or delivery experience
Shipping and receiving knowledge
Route delivery experience
Pallet jack experience
Warehouse support experience
