A well-established food distribution company in Hillside, NJ is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Non-CDL Box Truck Driver to operate a 26-foot box truck for local and regional deliveries. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26-foot box truck for scheduled delivery routes
- Deliver products to customers in a timely and professional manner
- Load and unload products at delivery locations
- Verify delivery paperwork, invoices, and order accuracy
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the truck
- Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and route updates
- Ensure products are transported safely and securely
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries
- Previous experience driving a 26-foot box truck required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- DOT Medical Card preferred or ability to obtain one
- Experience with local delivery routes and warehouse environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong attendance and punctuality
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules
- Food distribution or delivery experience
- Shipping and receiving knowledge
- Route delivery experience
