On-Call Shift Schedule: Mon Fri, 5p 8a | Weekends (1-2 per month)

Patient Information:

Patient Volume/Census: Inpatient: varies; Outpatient: 18-22 per day

Rounding: Daily rounding, 1-2 hours

Facility Information:

EMR System: Meditech (20% EMR, 80% paper)

Privileges & Compliance:

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Temporary Privileges Available: Yes

Required Procedures: Biopsies

Job Requirements:

Licenses: Active RI Medical License (or willing to obtain), DEA, CSR Board: Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology

DEA: DEA required

Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide inpatient and outpatient hematology/oncology care

Perform biopsies as needed

Round daily on inpatients (1-2 hours)

Take night call (5pm-8am) and weekend call (1-2 weekends per month)

Manage patient volume of 18-22 outpatients per day and variable inpatient consults
