Step into a rewarding contract opportunity near Saint Paul, MN, supporting local students’ growth and independence as a skilled Occupational Therapist. This long-term substitute position offers part-time hours (24 per week) across three days, beginning August 31, 2026, and running through November 30, 2026, with potential for continuation into the 2026/2027 school year.
The role calls for a highly qualified, empathetic clinician who excels at building supportive, therapeutic relationships with students. You’ll collaborate with educational teams to deliver teletherapy and in-person occupational therapy, focusing on fine and gross motor skill development.
Key Requirements:
- Active Occupational Therapy licensure (OT) in Minnesota
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and services
- Strong knowledge of fine and gross motor skill development in children
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- A compassionate, student-centered approach
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group OT services to students according to IEPs
- Conduct assessments and create data-driven treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Adapt therapeutic practices for teletherapy and on-site delivery
- Support student growth in self-regulation, daily living, and motor skills
