Medical Instrument Technician (Echocardiograph)

Job Duties

Perform full range of complex and high quality non-invasive congenital and fetal cardiac echocardiographic studies.

Perform complete and accurate pediatric and fetal echocardiographic examinations by utilizing highly specialized technical skills for this noninvasive modality to diagnose/assess congenital cardiac problems.

Identify, document, and report abnormal cardiac structures, blood flow patterns, and other significant findings to the interpreting physician.

Perform surveillance echocardiograms following cardiac surgical reconstruction.

Maintain examination records, ensure proper operation of echocardiography equipment, and perform related cardiac diagnostic procedures as assigned.

Monitor patients throughout examinations, recognize changes in clinical condition, and respond appropriately to emergent situations.
