Facility Housekeeper

2nd Shift HousekeepingThe Sanitation Worker-Housekeeping provides basic janitorial duties in the offices, restrooms, break areas and performs sanitation as directed. Responsibilities include cleaning, mopping, and vacuuming all common areas daily, refilling paper goods, hand soaps/sanitizers as needed, maintaining PPE and janitorial supply inventories, ensuring cleanliness of all other areas as assigned, cleaning floors using floor scrubber, ensuring exterior grounds are kept free of litter and other debris, cleaning/sanitizing presumptive areas for environmental findings outside of production areas, reading chemical labels to ensure safe applications, testing and recording chemical solutions strengths, maintaining chemical room, unloading bulk chemicals, storing chemical drums/totes, cleaning ammonia & boiler rooms, cleaning hazardous spills indoors and outdoors. All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures. All GLC employees are expected to produce our products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program. Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.Required Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED. General understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment. Ability to make decisions based on standard practices. Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve. Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S. without sponsorship. Must be able to work without relocation.Preferred Education and Experience: 1 year of sanitation experience or more. SAP experience. Basic computer skills.Working Conditions: Ability to constantly stand/walk; bend/flex/extend neck; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with L/R hands. Ability to frequently handle material from floor-to-waist, waist-to-shoulder and pushing/pulling/carrying. Hair nets, ear plugs/muffs, hardhats, and/or safety glasses may be required. Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery. Product weight: up to 100 lbs. Use of motor skills to safely drive tow motors or other motorized vehicles in tight quarters. Must be able to evaluate conditions and behaviors by periodically walking through the plant.
