Medical Assistant Opportunity

Join our team as a compassionate, hardworking Medical Assistant in our busy Primary Care clinic. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced Medical Assistants and new graduates looking to grow their clinical skills while caring for a diverse patient population.

Our team supports medically complex patients in a fast-paced environment alongside resident physicians. We are looking for someone who is a strong team player, enjoys hands-on patient care, and is committed to delivering exceptional service to every patient.

Location: 1002 Wishard Blvd., Suite 2001, Indianapolis, IN

Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week

Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Regular day off will not be Monday or Friday

Weekend rotation approximately every 5-6 weeks

Saturday hours: 8:00 AM - 1:30 PM

Your day will primarily focus on direct patient care, including:

• Completing pre-visit planning
• Rooming patients
• Obtaining vital signs and patient information
• Administering vaccines
• Performing point-of-care testing (POCs)
• Supporting providers with patient care needs
• Maintaining accurate patient documentation
• Approximately 100% of this role is dedicated to patient care activities.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Hands-on clinical experience through an externship or direct patient care setting
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Non-certified candidates will be considered only if they completed the IU Health Medical Assistant Trainee Program
