Junior Securities Lending Trader

Join Macquarie's Equities Derivatives and Trading division as a Junior Securities Lending Trader in New York. This role will have a primary focus on U.S. equities and hard-to-borrow securities while supporting broader Equity Finance activities across the global platform. You will be part of a high-performing global team covering Securities Lending, Repo, and synthetic financing products. What Role Will You Play?

In this role, you will contribute to business growth by identifying and executing trading opportunities, driving operational efficiencies, and building strong client relationships. You will support the sourcing and distribution of inventory, trade pricing, risk management, and the development of technology-enabled solutions that enhance efficiency, controls, and scalability. On a day-to-day basis, you will source, price, and distribute inventory across internal and external counterparties, while managing equity inventory, funding, liquidity, collateral, and balance sheet usage. You will monitor and communicate market risks and opportunities, maintain relationships with brokers, custodians, and institutional lenders, and contribute to strong risk management practices and operational controls. Working closely with global Equity Finance colleagues, you will also support process improvement, automation, and innovation initiatives to drive growth and efficiency across the business.
