Youth Development Director

The Youth Development Director provides leadership and management of all child development, After School Program, Summer Camp, and Kids Night Out programming. This position manages program member recruitment, participation, and retention through the development and execution of our youth development programs that strive to achieve strategic goals, meet diverse community needs and provide outstanding customer service to all members, guests, and our larger community. Bachelor's degree required in education, early childhood development, counseling, related field or equivalent. Minimum of two years of related experience is required. Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, management, multi-tasking, and conflict resolution skills required. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all socioeconomic segments of the community. Administrative experience managing and/or developing youth programs, collaborating with other community organizations, services, and/or government agencies preferred. Experience managing multi-level staffs of 15 or more preferred. Complete position specific training including Child Abuse Prevention, Blood-Borne Pathogen, Adult and Pediatric CPR and First Aid, food safety, Emergency Action training; and others as needed (provided by the YMCA). #J-18808-Ljbffr The National Council of Young Men’s Christian Associations of the United States of America
