Senior Software Engineer (Onsite)

Location This position is an onsite role in Aurora, CO or Dulles, VA or State College, PA. Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain software for cutting-edge satellite ground systems. Work with a team of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment. Learning Opportunities A breadth of advanced software technologies and techniques including multi-tiered architectures, AWS web services, and microservice software design. Modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques. Software lifecycle practices for defense projects. Satellite ground system technologies. Required Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience. Experience designing and developing object-oriented software using Java. Experience with Java multi-threading. An active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance required prior to start date. An active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance that can be crossed over to a TS/SCI security clearance is also acceptable. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Preferred Qualifications Experience developing satellite planning and scheduling software. Experience with software development lifecycle using the SAFe Agile methodology. Experience with microservices in an AWS environment using Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with Test Automation, DevSecOps, and CI/CD processes. Experience with tools such as Confluence, Eclipse, Jira, Jenkins, Junit, Kafka, and Spring Boot. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD.
