Job Title: Travel RN - Labor & Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care Labor & Delivery License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: Minimum 1-year current acute care Labor & Delivery RN experience Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role Description: This position is for a Travel RN in Labor & Delivery. The shift is from 7 PM to 7 AM. The unit has a total of 26 beds and employs 52 staff members. There is a minimum of one charge nurse and three nurses on night shift. Patient ratios are estimated at 1:4 for antepartum patients and 1:1 or 1:2 for laboring patients. The type of equipment used includes Alaris pumps. The electronic medical record system utilized is Meditech, with CPN charting. Candidates with mom-baby or couplet care experience and antepartum/high-risk Labor & Delivery experience will be preferred. Typical procedures include caring for laboring patients, antepartum patients, emergency department obstetric patients, C-sections, and cerclages.
