Registered Respiratory TherapistWe are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team in a dynamic Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The role involves providing specialized respiratory care to neonates in a high-acuity environment.Location: Brandon, FLUnit Information:Number of Beds: 36 Bed Level 3 NICUNumber of Staff: 2 Respiratory Therapists for both day and night shiftsPatient Ratios: 2 therapists to cover the unit during peak volumesType of Equipment: Drager VN500 ventilators, 3100A Oscillators, Mallinckrodt Nitric Oxide, and VapothermsElectronic Medical Records: Meditech and NeoNotesJob Responsibilities:Attend high-risk deliveries to provide immediate respiratory supportManage ventilator settings for conventional as well as high-frequency oscillatory ventilationAdminister surfactant therapy and monitor responsesPerform blood gas acquisition and interpretationProvide Nitric Oxide therapy as neededQualifications:Must Have:Experience in Level 3 NICU; candidates with 3-5 years of Level 2 NICU experience will be consideredNRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certificationPreferred:STABLE certificationDesired Skills and Characteristics:Positive attitude and the ability to work independentlyStrong critical thinking skills and attention to detailWhy Work Here?This position offers an opportunity to work with advanced technology and equipment in a specialized unit.
