divh2Phlebotomist V/h2pOur client, a Clinical Laboratory company, is looking for a Phlebotomist V for their Austin, TX location./ph3Responsibilities:/h3ulliExperience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc./liliCollects and stores specimens according to established procedures./liliProperly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required./liliDemonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles./liliFully understand all of the physicians orders./liliMatches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes./liliLabel, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order./liliCheck all test requisitions or computer label against script to ensure 100% correct./liliPackage specimens for transport./liliStores specimen sample according to required temperature, places samples in appropriate collection container/ tube, accurately labels, follows different procedures as outlined by specific to protocol deemed necessary for transport to maintain integrity of the specimen./liliUnderstand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations./liliAttend annual department trainings./liliAnswer telephone calls, read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries./li/ulh3Requirements:/h3ulliMinimum of 6 months work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting./liliProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite./liliHigh School Diploma or GED 10+ years of experience/liliThese skills are non-negotiable./liliThese skills are required for submittal./liliPediatric experience MUST have./liliGood communication skills/liliExperience with hard stick patients/liliPeople skills/liliCalm disposition/liliEducation Requirement: HS/GED/li/ulh3Why Should You Apply?/h3ulliHealth Benefits/liliReferral Program/liliExcellent growth and advancement opportunities/li/ulpICONMA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
