Our Patient Care Coordinators are experienced Medical Assistants that interact with patients and their families in initiating the planned care, to include:Provide education information to patients and their familiesExplain treatments, procedures, medication(s) and continuing care following treatmentCollaborate internally with various departments to ensure appropriate scheduling, lab results and recordkeepingThis position will be onsite, supporting our Adult & Pediatric Dermatology (Massachusetts) practices.ResponsibilitiesAnswer and address incoming patient clinical calls, RX, PAType up phone notes/cases and route to providers regarding patient concernsPlace phone calls to the patients regarding answers to concernsCall and inform patient of pathology/ lab resultsSchedule patients for surgeries (excision, etc.)Retrieve patient information from PCP or specialist's officeObtain from affiliated labs patient results on cultures, biopsies, etc.Fax reports per request of outside providersMaintain the PA/ RX bucketsSupport and assist with ePath and procedure scheduling as neededCheck patient portal messages, route to provider accordinglyEnsures accurate notes of all consultations and treatments are recorded in the patients' recordCommunicates appropriately and tactfully with staff, consultants, patients, significant others, and communityReduce conflict and increase patient satisfaction whenever possible through timely response to callsPrioritizes work tasks and services and completes tasks in a timely mannerComplete Administrative Proficiency (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Web-based applications, email, HRIS systems)This position requires work to be performed at a central location / employee must be able to support multiple officesMaintains a ONETeam mindset using the foundation of our core values, the 3Ps: Positivity, Productivity, and Professionalism.Support APDerm's mission and culture of high-quality standards by carrying out applicable policies, procedures and established industry standards, laws and regulations. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to years of experience, location, relevant skills, training, education, etc. Certain roles may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives.
