Lab Technician (TaqMan PCR/Genotyping) - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities In this entry‑level position you will work collaboratively with a large production team of full‑time employees and contractors to deliver daily and weekly genotyping targets under tight deadlines. Responsibilities include a variety of manual and automated tasks in the TaqMan PCR Lab, primarily manual/semi‑automated PCR setup. This workflow supports the biotech and trait pipelines. Responsibilities also include activities related to preventative and autonomous maintenance and lab health activities. High throughput/production/sample management: The lab processes millions of samples per year with fast turn‑around times. Automation/mechanical aptitude: Comfortable running and troubleshooting automation independently. Utilization of LIMS systems for sample tracking, maintenance, and troubleshooting instrumentation and automation. Ability to effectively communicate with team members who work onsite and some who may work from home. MS Office including advanced Excel skills. Lift up to 40 lbs. Required Soft Skills Flexibility, agility, attention to detail, stellar work ethic, sense of urgency, excellent communication skills, good organizational skills, ability to make decisions independently. Required Education Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field is preferred. Qualifications Experience level: Entry Level. Education: Bachelors (required).
