This department establishes, promotes and maintains the hotel's security and property protection. The Security Team is available 24-hours a day. The Security Officer actively participates in the day-to-day security operations of the property to ensure the safety and security of all guests, personnel and property.We are looking for individuals who are skilled problem solvers with a high attention to detail and a high sense of ethics and honesty. The Security Officer position involves a large amount of contact with guests, local law enforcement and other hotel personal and excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills are required. As this position is physical in nature candidates must be able to stand for up to 8 hrs per shift and lift up to 50 lbs. Flexible working schedule is required.Essential Functions This list is not all –inclusive and should only be used as an overview of all actual responsibility.To safeguard the hotel, guest and associates' property from vandalism, theft and any kind of crimeTo monitor and to control the movement of all associates, visitors, and contractors leaving or entering the hotel through the staff entranceTo handle all tasks with diplomacy, tact, appropriate discretion and efficiencyTo record and to control all visitors' belongings / items when entering and leaving the hotel premises through the associate entrance or loading dockTo ensure that unauthorized personnel do not gain access to the hotel floors and back of the house areasTo be fully conversant with every detail of the hotel layoutTo ensure to check all current events, activities, and functions at the time of dutyTo patrol the areas of responsibility and to ensure the safety and comfort of all guestsQualifications & ExperienceHave excellent customer service and guest contact skillsMinimum 2 years' experience in the same or similar role required, luxury hotel experience preferredReading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language is required (Spanish/Tagalog/Mandarin a plus)Familiar with State and local safety regulations (i.e., OSHA), CPR/First Aid certified is a plusMust be able to multi-task and have the ability to manage priorities with a high attention to detailEnjoy working in a dynamic, creative and fast-paced environmentOutgoing and people-oriented personalityEffective interpersonal skills and a great team playerFour Seasons offers an award-winning work environment and an excellent benefits package which includes:Hourly Rate: $35.75Complimentary Employee MealsLaundered Employee UniformPursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.Four Seasons is an Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action employer.
