RN - Long Term Care

Job Opportunity

The RN and LPN will work collaboratively with residents and other care providers to foster a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment through direct and indirect care.

Units Overview

• 3 East: A 31-bed specialized unit focused on residents with Alzheimer's and dementia. Care is tailored to meet their specific needs, utilizing verbal and non-verbal communication techniques and a comprehensive understanding of behaviors associated with these conditions.
• Transitional Rehabilitation Unit: This 42-bed unit on the second floor provides short-term skilled nursing and rehabilitation services to patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgeries, strokes, and other short-term illnesses or injuries. Services may include IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management.
• 3 West: A long-term care unit with 42 beds that offers necessary care for residents requiring long-term placement in a home-like environment.

Job Requirements

• Education: Associate's degree in Nursing.
• Licensure: Valid State of Maine or compact RN license.
• Experience: 1-3 years of previous RN experience.
• Skills:
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with a team of care providers.
  • Flexibility to cover 24/7 operations and float to other units as needed.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates proficiency in the responsibilities mentioned may be considered.
