Telematics Validation Engineer - Automotive

Job Title: Telematics Validation Engineer Employment Type: Full-Time nWe are seeking a Telematics Validation Enginee r to join our automotive engineering team in Auburn Hills, M I. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating telematics systems and connected vehicle features to ensure high-quality performance, reliability, and compliance with automotive standards Responsibilities Develop and execute validation plans, test cases, and test procedures for telematics and connected vehicle systems Validate features such as OTA updates, eCall, BCall, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, LTE/5G connectivity, and remote vehicle services Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing in both bench and vehicle environments Analyze CAN/LIN/Ethernet network traffic and identify root causes of system issues Execute test automation where applicable and document test results, defects, and validation reports Work closely with software, hardware, systems, and integration teams to resolve issues Support vehicle testing, issue triage, and release validation activities Ensure compliance with automotive quality and safety standards Required Qualification Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field 3+ years of experience in automotive telematics or connected vehicle validation Strong knowledge of CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, UDS diagnostics, and communication protocols Experience with telematics features including LTE/5G, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, OTA, and cloud connectivity Hands‑on experience with Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, Wireshark, or similar automotive validation tools Familiarity with automotive testing methodologies, defect tracking tools (JIRA), and test management tools Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities #J-18808-Ljbffr Global Connect Technologies
