Role Description The women's health medical assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Hoboken, NJ. The medical assistant will support OB/GYN providers by preparing exam rooms, assisting with pelvic exams and minor procedures, obtaining vital signs, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Daily responsibilities include reviewing and updating medical histories, maintaining and organizing medical records, coordinating patient flow, and supporting front-office tasks such as scheduling and check-in as needed. The medical assistant will provide direct patient care, including patient education on procedures and follow-up instructions, and will help maintain a clean, well-stocked clinical environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, respectful care to patients of diverse backgrounds.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Medical Assisting skills, including rooming patients, supporting procedures, and performing basic clinical tasks.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of Medical Terminology relevant to OB/GYN and women's health care.
  • Candidates should possess experience in a Medical Office setting, including familiarity with scheduling, front-desk workflows, and coordinating patient visits.
  • Candidates should possess Patient Care skills, with an emphasis on empathy, clear communication, and maintaining patient confidentiality and comfort.
  • Candidates should possess competence in handling Medical Records, including accurate documentation, electronic health record (EHR) usage, and regulatory compliance.
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant program and certification (e.g., CMA, RMA) is preferred.
  • Prior experience in women's health, OB/GYN, or related clinical settings is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, follow clinical protocols, and adapt to a fast-paced environment. xhyhwjd
  • CPR/BLS certification and basic proficiency with common clinical equipment and computer systems are desirable.
