Description

• Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that target both immediate goals and ongoing needs related to communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions, focusing on various aspects such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to develop cohesive care approaches.
• Provide education to patients and families to facilitate progress beyond the clinic.
• Occasionally support inpatient speech therapy evaluations and therapies to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
• Document patient progress meticulously, adhering to all regulatory and organizational standards.
• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and peer collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if certification from ASHA is not obtained yet.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary within 30 days of starting employment.
