Mechanical Engineer

Position: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Rockville, MD

Summary:


The Mechanical Engineer will work on the design and development of HVAC systems in a team and individual environment. Will work closely with outside stake holders while interpreting blueprints and overall implementation of new system.


Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports
• Research, design, and evaluate systems or processes to meet requirements
• Confer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information
• Develop coordinate, or monitor all aspects of productions, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, or operation of product designs

• Review technical documents to plan work
• Design industrial and commercial processing systems
• Design industrial and commercial equipment
• Evaluate characteristics of equipment or systems
• Confer with other personnel to resolve design or operational problems
• Able to work as an effective team player and independently

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 10 years of experience in HVAC Design
• Experience working on commercial projects
• Advance proficiency in AutoCAD, Trane (700), and Trace load software
• Knowledge of current international building code (NFPA)
• Proficiency in REVIT
