Job Summary:
The Kentucky-based position for a Certified First Surgical Assistant is located in Jackson. This role involves supporting surgical teams by performing essential tasks such as suturing, providing exposure, and controlling bleeding during surgical procedures. Candidates are required to bring their Kentucky license on the first day. The position necessitates a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience and prior travel experience.

• Shift Hours: 8 hours per day
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
• Start Date: 06/15/2026
• Required Qualifications: Kentucky License, Surgical Assistant Certification through the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure, credentialing through either the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or the National Commission for the Certification of Surgical Assistants (NCCSA), minimum of 2-3 years of experience, prior travel experience.
• Additional Qualifications: No weekend call at this time, but flexibility required if weekend call is implemented.
• Additional Information: Position is a replacement of permanent staff, with one position available. Candidates may be required to fill in on holidays if needed.
• Float: Not applicable.
• Certifications: Credentialing through NBSTSA or NCCSA; Kentucky Surgical Assistant Certification.
