Position Details:
CT Technologist- Metropolis, IL
Location : Metropolis, IL 62960
Project Duration : 13 Weeks contract
Salary Range : $40/hr - $45/hr
Shift : Days

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Access patient's condition prior to administering contrast media or performing radiography procedure
• Perform radiographic procedures as prescribed by physician determining proper technique through selection of voltage, current and exposure time.
• Position patient for the proper view of affected area and instruct patient on proper physiological requirements for procedure.
• Prepare contracts media and administer to patient either intravenously or through other body cavities.
• Ensure that required consent forms are signed prior to procedure.
• Chart completion of exams and other pertinent information in patient charts.
• Discuss procedure results with departmental supervisor when indicated.
• Participate in quality assurance monitoring and recording outcomes.
• Operate portable radiographic equipment for performance of procedures throughout hospital including medical/surgical and cardiac care units and recover and emergency rooms.
• Work control desk and perform PACS duties as needed.
• Ensure accurate PACS operation and transmission of images for interpretation.
• Teach radiography technology students proper procedures, x-rays physics, equipment operation, anatomy and duties and responsibilities of RT.
• Transport and assist other transport patients to/from imaging departments.
